Bespoke Fitted MDF Bedroom Furniture

Here we display a recent bespoke fitted MDF bedroom furniture project that we carried out in Enfield Town, EN1. The client wanted a full bedroom wardrobe along with a built-in desk, drawers and shelves that he could then paint himself. To make our client’s life that little bit easier, we advised to have the interiors made from a pre-finished material to save many hours of painting in awkward areas and opted for a matt white melamine faced MDF. A good quality melamine lends itself perfectly to interiors for projects such as this, as it offers an easy to clean, solid and neat looking product. For the exterior we went with a modern design with very tight margins around all of the doors and drawers to give an accurate and neat finish. The MDF was Medite MR MDF and in a range of different thicknesses. We machined custom J-shaped integrated handles into all of the doors and drawer fronts and faced the wardrobes with flush mounted face frames. We used Blum integrated soft close hinges and drawer runners for smoothness of operation and reliability. The internal wardrobe space is comprised of upper shelves and a mixture of different length hanging space. The hanging rails were round profiled, brushed stainless steel and were all illuminated by interior automatic LED lighting with sensors. Overall, this was a nice project to undertake and a cost effective way for our clients to have fully bespoke fitted furniture cost effectively.
